monday we started off with PT, which was more like a run. we ran to rjc track, ran 5 rounds according to bryan, and ran to pullup bar to do 3 sets of half our max pullup number.
following that we went to a seminar room in JB which subsequently led to it being more like a chem lab with the ammonia from zj's shirt/swimming trunks. we had a lecture on orienteering, a basic run through of the basics like taking bearing, reading map etc for the not-so-new comers. then we had the more medium stuff like pacing and back bearing and the somewhat high level stuff like dead reckoning (super impt!!), handrail, triangulation etc. and we also had the random stuff like how to find the height of a tree (hint:use trigo), how to find the length of a river (hint: either use the long but imba method involving 2 teckos and a lot of walking that was presented by zj, or the dam short and easy method which needs a bit of brains presented by amos), how to find the speed of the river, how to find the depth of a river etc. for the last one, according to hq you stick the tecko into the water. if it doesnt reach the bottom, you know its too deep to cross.
and that was basically all we did for act that day! although after that there was a vexco meeting + joel which was really just an update on each of our work progress.
and on tuesday some of us had a really fun time moving poles from braddell west lake to RI while some other ppl also had a fun time playing interug but losing 0-2 to npcc. and we discovered a shorter route to get to bwl from the den, after going there 3974384 times. ohoh and i had a showdown with my nemesis, The Bee(tle)s, in which i was victorious and left a bit of them on my shirt in the form of bee paste.
and today we first had a shelter building lecture conducted by yanzhi, before we went to our 2nd home bwl to chop up some
of course in between all these stuff theres all the small stuff we laugh about that makes us this wonderful batch of 01-06, and typing them out here will not do justice to how great these stuff are. a very minor reason is also because my memory fails me =D
