VLC hoohaa!

On the 13th and 14th of June, some of us went for VLC (Venture Leadership Course).

Hoohaa!

It was a lecture-filled, sleepless-night, laughter-a-plenty, self-directed, network-forming, initiative-taking, knowledge-acquiring, and of course VENTURE-filled, camp.

We had joy, we had fun, we had not a lot of time in the sun, but hey thats a good thing! (:

The lectures were very informative. What is venturing, leadership styles, RAMS, Programme planning, SIC (Scout Instructorship Course) and more! We sat through lectures, had activities, improved ourselves. And of course we all made a lot of friends.

We were split into 6 ExCos, namely: Wildcats (miao), Nitrogen (N2, enthu), Marlot, Zebra (later known as WhiteHorse xD), Hi 5 (1-2-3-4, HI 5!) and lastly, Sixers (Cub scouts?).

Each ExCo planned a detailed activity, this was for assessment by the Instructors. We planned an activity, with all the objectives and everything included. All it needed was to be rearranged and it would be a proposal for an activity already.

Oh and i forgot to mention the instructors. The people who made it all possible.

I shall use their scout names since i can't remember all their real names. (paiseh)

Our lecturers, Wisdom Keeper (Justin), Staunch Owl (Ruhan), and Roving Ferret (is that correct? i really dunno how to spell his real name. sorry!).

Our Camp director, Steady Wolf (Yang Chen).

And DC Smiling Ox (his real name is on his name card. Check it out! or knock at 12 midnight...)

And all the staff at Terror Sea Scout Camp who cooked the delicious food and allowed us to use their campsite. (:

As Wisdom Keeper taught us, APPRECIATE! And of course, ATTITUDE!

Hope all the ventures who went learned something knew and will apply it in his scouting life. Remember, we are Ventures now.
